# Company research

Availability: Planned API.

Answer a defined question about a company using retained, attributable evidence. This planned research outcome is distinct from lead enrichment or permission to contact employees.

## Scope the company

Provide a company/domain identity, relevant owned records, approved sources and the business decision. Resolve same-name companies explicitly rather than combining their facts.

A company profile can describe observed offerings, locations, audiences and public claims. It must identify where each fact came from and when it was observed.

## Keep the research artifact

Retain the question, company identity, source references, dated findings, conflicts and unknowns. Separate direct observations from inferred business models or recommendations.

For example, a pricing page can support a dated offer observation without proving current revenue, employee count or market coverage.

## Review before reuse

Promoting a finding into a catalog, Brand Kit, territory brief or outreach plan is a separate review decision. Reusing permitted saved evidence should not silently start fresh acquisition.

## Gaps to handle

A missing page, ambiguous identity or inaccessible source is not an empty company. This business API is planned; a useful profile still needs a subject-specific schema and authorized retrieval. Person/contact enrichment has separate privacy, purpose and cost boundaries.
