# API reference

Availability: Release contract.
Last reviewed: 2026-08-28.

The first developer API contract is deliberately small: identify the calling application's credential without starting business work.

## Authentication check

```http
GET /v1/me
X-Market-Monolith-Key: <your-server-side-key>
```

The planned public API origin is `https://api.marketmonolith.com`. Confirm the authentication release is available before making the request. This article is not a deployment claim.

The response contains `accountRef`, `applicationRef`, `keyId`, `scopes`, `businessAccess` and `billable`. The initial business-access value is `not_enabled`; `billable` is `false`.

## What is intentionally absent

There are no public business execution examples for the planned catalog, research, territories, Stores, campaigns or financial workflows in this release. An operation described in the capability guides is not an executable endpoint specification.

Existing gateway/OpenAPI foundations require compatibility review. They are not discarded, nor do their older tool declarations grant new developer keys access.

## Contract evolution

Future references must publish exact input/output schemas, resource ownership, authorization, lifecycle, error and version behavior before client code depends on them. A route name or accepted command alone is insufficient.

## Troubleshooting

Use the [quickstart](/docs/quickstart) for expected identity values and [errors](/docs/errors-troubleshooting) for safe recovery. Never troubleshoot by calling raw provider, queue or internal administration routes.
